These days we live a very monotonous life. I am just doing my duty like a robot in the same routine. Life seems to have no touch of color. Modern machine-driven living has taken us away from the love of nature.
So I think, a piece of green nature can give us a little relief from this mechanical life. Since it is not always possible to go somewhere away from regular life, a small piece of nature can be brought into one’s own home. And to do that we can start gardening. I know many people don’t like it as a hobby, it may seem like a waste of time but believe me, a small garden in the corner of the house will bring you immense peace.
It may be a bit difficult to start but gradually it will become your habit. Apart from other things in life, the most important thing is to love yourself, take care of yourself. We always forget about ourselves while fulfilling our responsibilities. So we can do this little thing to give ourselves some time and keep ourselves well.
Gardening is not merely a matter of planting flowers or growing food, it’s an experience that can foster a profound connection to nature, improve your well-being, and even benefit the earth. If you are a garden novice or have never even thought about it before, if you discover a love for the garden it may cultivate benefits in your life and the space around you for thousands of years to come.
It is a great way to relax your mind and relieve you from your stresses. Tending to plants can also be a meditative act, a reprieve from the cacophony of everyday life. Studies indicate that spending time in nature can decrease anxiety and depression, putting you in a more relaxed and grounded headspace. The concentration that gardening requires — sowing seeds, cutting back or harvesting — helps you remain in the here and now, encouraging mindfulness.
It can also make for great physical exercise. From digging and weeding to hauling compost and watering, you’re activating muscles you may not use daily. It’s a low-impact exercise that increases flexibility, strength, and endurance. And the satisfaction of working outside in the fresh air and sunlight can raise your vitamin D levels and increase your overall energy.
One of the biggest positives of gardening is that it brings joy to your life as well as the positive impact it has on the environment. A garden may be small but it will add some oxygen to the environment, absorb carbon dioxide from the environment and help purify the air. A small effort can make the environment cleaner. Global warming in the world is increasing day by day. Indiscriminate felling of trees, deforestation, increasing consumption of fuel – everything is polluting the environment day by day.
So everyone should plant as many trees as possible on their own responsibility. Planting trees on a small scale if large scale is not possible. Be it outdoors or indoors.
Finally, we can say, if we choose gardening as our hobby, it will make our life colorful, cheer up our mind.
